Cypress Park is a Beauty!

The 165-acre Cypress Park is stunning in its beauty, usability, and functions to provide an environment pleasing to young and old alike. The address is 12925 North Eldridge Parkway, Cypress, Texas 77429.

On the day that my husband and I first visited this beautiful location, we had initially seen Maxwell Park also for the first time. Both parks are pleasing to nature lovers, but while Maxwell Park is small and intimate, Cypress Park is expansive and satisfies people who wish to wish to do more exercising and have playground equipment for their children.

The playground equipment is located to the front of the park where there is a large paved parking lot. In this same area are picnic tables, barbeque grills, restrooms, water fountains and some shade structures.

The Trail in Cypress Park

A paved trail encircles large lake-like water retention ponds with a bridge bisecting the water.

The flat paved trail accommodates walkers, joggers, people riding bicycles or on rollerblades as well as people in wheelchairs. Many people were walking their dogs on leashes. Benches are provided in many places along the trail for those who wish to rest and perhaps take some time to enjoy the delightfulness of the natural scenery surrounding them.

Cypress Park Exercise Equipment

Exercise stations are also placed at intervals on the trail. I cannot think of a more lovely setting to do chin-ups, pushups and the like.

Fishing in Cypress Park

We saw several people fishing on the day of our visit plus some wild birds attempting to snag their catch of the day.

Peace and Tranquility

There is one subdivision that abuts one side of Cypress Creek to the front of the park. Those are some fortunate people who live there! Just steps away from their front door are the many acres of this lovely park providing natural views of wildlife including numerous kinds of birds, turtles, and the like. What a great place to walk their dogs, let their children play and enjoy the natural wooded scenery, water views and get to view sunrises and sunsets.

Cypress Park is open from 7 AM to Dusk. If you visit this Harris County Precinct 3 Park, I am confident that you will enjoy it as much as we did and plan to again in the future.  It is marvelous that places like this exist in our vast metropolitan area!
